True Love

Peyton LOVES tractors. Thanks Grandpa! My dad has a tractor that Peyton just loves to ride on. Every time we go to my parents he has to go for a ride. So, Peyton has developed a very strong love for any type of tractor. He is even addicted to watching tractor pulls on youtube (thanks dad). All he ever talks about is the tractor went boom. So, I was getting some groceries at Meijer and happened to come across this shirt for Peyton. It was $3.97 so I bought it. He had to put it on first thing that night and come bedtime did not want to take it off. So, we slept with our tractor shirt on! This shirt gets worn regularly at our house. For $3.97 it was worth every smile!

Cookies!

Usually around an upcoming holiday Bill's sister (& her 2 kids) like to come over to bake and decorate sugar cookies. Just before Valentines Day Candace, Jordyn & Jacob came over and we spent the morning baking. This was really the first time Peyton understood what we were doing and wanted to be in on the fun. I wouldn't call what he did baking but more of making a mess. All he wanted to do was eat the dough (takes after his mother) & lick the flour off the counter. It was rather funny to watch. I let you decide if we actually made cookies or just made a mess!

The Blizzard of 2011

So, the weather people talked for at least a week about this HUGE storm we were going to get. I was rather skeptical as to whether or not we were actually going to get anything! As most of you know they have been wrong before! Well, the storm was scheduled to arrive on a Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and I knew i would be needing some more baby wipes. So, I quick ran into Target after work on Tuesday night. When I drove by Meijer on the way to Target it was INSANE!!!! You would have thought it was the day before a holiday! Thankfully Target was not busy! I got what I needed and was on my way in no time! Well, we did get the full 18" or so that was predicted! It was crazy how much snow we got in such a little amount of time. We don't own a snowblower but have the best neighbors who do! Our neighbor Dave came to our rescue and snowblowed our driveway. Don't worry I just happened to be baking while he was doing that so he got a plate of goodies as a small thank you! Bill did make it to work for a few hours but since it was slow he came home early. Once he got home we decided to bundle up and take Peyton out to check out all the snow! He loved every second of it! Here are a few pics of the day!

Slacker.....

I know, I know I have been a total slacker when it comes to my blog! I have all these posts running in my head but just haven't had the time or motivation to actually do it! So, I am finally catching up on the last month or so!

I'm Dreaming of..............

SUMMER! Oh, how I am longing for warm sunny days, windows open with fresh air in my house, playing outside (and not freezing), no more coats, hats & mittens and the list goes on and on. Here's a picture from last summer at the beach in South Haven. Here's to hoping for summer!

Oatmeal Anyone?

Peyton loves his oatmeal, and it's usually what he eats for breakfast. Well, the other morning he told me he was "ungry momma" so he ran to the pantry to get out the oatmeal. He will typically take the top off of the container and give it to me so I can make him a bowl. Instead of giving me the container he just started digging in and eating handfuls of raw oatmeal. Can we say GROSS! Whenever I asked him to give me the oatmeal so I could make him a bowl he just shook his head and said "no". Of course I just had to grab my camera and snap some pics!

Winter Fun!

So, a couple of weeks ago we headed down to Bill's sister's house in k-zoo for an afternoon of playing outside and dinner. They have a huge pond behind their house so Bill and Brent took it upon themselves to create a HUGE ice rink. We bundled up all the kiddos and headed out for some fun! I wasn't sure how Peyton would do because he HATES wearing a coat and hat. He LOVED it and played outside for over 1.5 hours! Now all he wants to do is play outside. Here are just a few pics from the day.
